The event involved 29 citizens, from the city of Krajisnik, Vojvodina, Serbia
Location/ Dates: The event took place in Krajisnik, Serbia, on 28 May, 2021
The national training was organized in Krajisnik, Vojvodina and gathered in total 29 participants. Participants were representatives of educational and social institutions (social workers, pedagogues, psychologists, teachers, educators, special educators – speech therapist, librarian, school principal) from the Municipality Secanj in Vojvodina.
The training entitled: “The role of intercultural learning in the process of Roma inclusion” was organized on May 28, 2021. starting at 1 pm (until 7 pm) in Krajisnik in the premises of the Retirement Home (across from the “SlavkoRodić” Elementary School). The training aimed to present certain tools for inclusion and inclusion of citizens, but also to exchange experiences in working with the Roma community. The focus of the training is on Roma educational, cultural and social issues and problems that they are facing with and how to overcome all challenges in today’s circumstances.
Lecturers and trainers who provide working session and spoke at the training were:
1. JovanaŠkorić – Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad – Department of Social Work who spoke on the topic: “The role of intercultural learning in the process of Roma inclusion and results research on Roma social exclusion.
2. Aleksandra Aleksandrović–Roma educator and activist, MA of the applied theater, journalist at the Radio Television of Vojvodinawho spoke on the topic: “Interculturalism through teaching units and tools for Roma inclusion”.
