Roma International Day

The event involved 27 citizens, from the city of Tirana, Albania

Location/ Dates: The event took place in Tirana, Albania, on 08th April, 2021

On 8th April eve, the commemoration of the Roma International Day, we had the opportunity to mobilize young Roma and non-Roma to raise awareness on the importance of Roma day, cultural understanding, and the long-coexistence of Roma and Albanian populations. At this event we had 27-participants. We achieved a public impact as random people show interest in the activity organized in front of the Holocaust Memorial and Romani Resistance Graffiti nearby “Ura e Nisherakut”.

Besides the activity in the field in which we promoted Roma culture, origin, history, and aspect of contribution to the major society, Mr. Aliu and a member of the staff made a public appearance in the media to talk about the latter mentioned values.

So, summarize, the dissemination of information, and public reach was satisfactory. We created an important impact, and once again, shared the message of anti-stigma.
