Action plan for Antygipsism in North Macedonia

Participation: The event involved  25 participants, employed in national institutions, from the city of Skopje, North Maceodnia,

Location/ Dates: The event took place in the Government of North Macedonia in Skopje, on 21.06.2022

Short description:  The aim of the event was for first time to be discussed on higher level for the new phenomena Antigypsism in the institutions. This event was very important to start the debate and discussions with the representatives of the national institutions. Also in this event was presented the Non – legal definition for Antigypsism which is part from the Ministerial declaration for the Holocaust – IKRA. The participants were informed for the declaration before, and this was the most important discussion during this event. As a main conclusions from the event were concluded the following:

1. The government of North Macedonia to develop an Action plan for antygipsism which will be connected with the National Strategy for Roma 2020 – 2030;
2. To be implement trainings and workshops for the employed people in the administration for Antigypsism and discrimination in order to be able to recognize the act of Antigipysism and discriminitation towards Roma.
